Dist. Pedal To Amp Set-up
I been wanting to ask somebody bout this. I got a Boss Mt-2 and a marshall 60 watt VG series solid state something or other. The overdrive on the amp sucks my ass for metal, but when i turn the pedal on when it's on the clean channel, it seems the signal is too much for the amp and it sounds like shit loud. I usually set the level knob at 12 oclock with a sort of half scooped sound, but the amp wont take any more than that at full volume and it's still not that loud...... hmm.
any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
By the way. I have a LP copy with sorta ok pickups but im upgrading to a set of EMG's. I'll see if the stock pickups are total crap or not when thats done.

em, less gain/level on the MT-2 maybe?
and yes, the pickups on your LP copy are shit, I'm 90% sure of it. compared to EMG's, they'll sound like crap anyways, so its a good investment.
